| Izvleček: | Intestinal parasitosis is considered one of the most important problems with a great impact on animal health that affects pig production, therefore it is a public health problem since it affects people around the world, mainly vulnerable groups such as to children, pregnant women, and the elderly in underdeveloped countries. In the present experimental investigation carried out in the Jesus Del Gran Poder facility of the Marcelino Maridueña Canton, its objective is to determine the presence of intestinal parasites in backyard pigs from families that are dedicated to pork production, taking 70 samples. fecal samples where coproparasitic examinations were carried out using the simple direct smear technique, to subsequently identify the parasites harbored in the intestines of the pigs, depending on the breed factor, sex factor, and age factor. The results showed in this research the following various parasites with a total of 13 individuals positive for the presence of intestinal parasites and 57 negative, resulting in 70 pigs sampled in their entirety and transparency, it was obtained in percentage values where the parasite identification yielded 5 different species of parasites including Isosporas suis with 69%, hytrongylus sp with 8%, egg oesophagostoum dentatum with 8%, strongyloides ransomi with 8%, trichuris suis with 8%, so in breed factor the most prone to the presence of parasites is Landrace with 37%, in sex: female with 80%, males with 20%. Furthermore, the prevalence of this area was calculated with a total of 19%. |
