Códigos deontológicos y su relación con el periodismo responsable en el medio audiovisual Ondas Quevedeñas Tv del cantón Quevedo, año 2021

For social communicators, adjusting to an adequate language to communicate the news is important in their professional field, that reflects their professionalism and will allow them to achieve prestige and credibility, essential in a professional in this branch; In the present investigation, the Ethics Codes and their Relationship with Responsible Journalism in the Audiovisual Media "Ondas Quevedeñas Tv" of the Quevedo Canton were studied, for this purpose a non-experimental methodological design with a mixed approach was applied, empirical methods and techniques were applied , the population was extracted from data provided by the National Institute of Statistics and Censuses (INEC) from the last national census in 2010 in relation to the urban population settled in what is known as the Quevedo canton whose number is 173,575 inhabitants; For the sample, a finite formula was applied, yielding a total of 384 respondents. The most important results show that 63% of the respondents do know the meaning of the ethical codes, 51% consider that the Ondas Quevedeñas Tv Channel does apply codes of ethics in its programming, likewise the majority of the respondents leaned in 35% (highest percentage) that the channel is characterized by responsibility towards its audience, likewise more than 61% consider that the channel is ethical and applies deontological codes in all news sections such as politics, economics, sports, entertainment etc. It is concluded that the open signal channel Ondas Quevedeñas TV has very good public acceptance as well as credibility due to the adoption of ethical codes.
