Niveles de depresión en los estudiantes víctimas de bullying que cursan el 8vo año de la Unidad Educativa Seis de Octubre del cantón Ventanas

The present investigation had as objective to determine the depression levels in the students victims of bullying or bullying who study the 8th year of the Educational Unit Seis de Octubre of the Cantonese Ventanas, to carry out this project, was worked with 70 students. The above mentioned sample was administered a questionnaire on intimidation and abuse among equals, once the students who have suffered or suffered from bullying were selected and verified the inventory of depression of Beck was administered to verify if there was depression and to detail the level of it because of bullying. After the analysis, it was concluded that 26 students (37%) of the sample evaluated were victims of bullying, and 44 students (63%) reported not having been victims of bullying. On the other hand, it is reflected in the results that 10 students (38%) of the victims of bullying have a normal level of depression, 3 (12%) light depression level, 5 (19%) medium depression and 8 31%) have symptoms of severe depression. In this way, based on the mentioned studies and the results of the investigation, it is determined that the development of a social skills training program for bullying students and those with symptoms of depression due to this problem is vital. It is also of the utmost importance that the Institution and the department of student counseling learn and implement the protocol of action in cases of violence between peers detected or committed in the educational institution, with the ministry of education.
