總結:The present clinical case is about a 19-year-old male patient with poor far and near vision, occasional diplopia, photophobia and suspected congenital retinal detachment, who attended an optometric consultation because he did not use any lenses. type, also presents headaches of variable intensity, these symptoms being serious problems since when they are detected at an early age it is less risky that the patient may lose vision. This clinical case is of interest because the patient presents several symptoms together and a suspicion of congenital retinal detachment, from which his relatives had no idea whatsoever what this young man was suffering when he arrived at the consultation. It is important to highlight the retinal damage through a study to be able to carry out a timely treatment plan in order to deepen and improve the visual quality of the patient through objective examinations such as retinoscopy, subjective tests such as the Donders test to determine the spherical power that Corrects part of the symptoms that the patient has, in addition to a biomicroscopy always in order to try to improve the visual quality of the patient by identifying the causes of his problem so that the specialist can grant him the necessary pharmacological treatment. The method used in this clinical case is documentary bibliographic and it is determined as a result that the patient has an involvement of possible retinal detachment in the left eye accompanied by myopia and astigmatism in the right eye, in view of the fact that the patient did not significantly improve his Visual acuity was referred to the specialist in this case Ophthalmologist who determined the congenital retinal detachment in the left eye, this being the reason that did not allow the images to reach the retina correctly.
