Summary:The San José educational unit starts its activities in the year 1977 in the Parish San José del Tambo Province of Bolívar, this institution was created with the purpose of reach with education all young people in the sector and to train competitive students in any area of ​​study. The Educational Unit "San José" has as mission to give an education based on an active methodology, values, principles, ethics, science, and technology, so that students become useful entities for their development and that of society. The present case study will analyze the wiring structure of the Network of the institution, in this system we have connectors, conduits and devices, which allows to establish a communication system in an infrastructure of telecommunications inside a building. In a structured cabling installation one should always keep in mind the characteristics and standards that must be met. Structured cabling allows me to transport information inside a building and signals that are sent from the sender and received by the receiver. In this physical network we can easily change the UTP cables, connection blocks, adapters among other elements of the wiring structure. By supporting different telecommunications devices, structured cabling can be modified without have the greatest knowledge about the products that are used on it. At the time of laying and installation, the extension of the wiring, segmentation of traffic, and the possible risk of interference electromagnetic and the possible possibility of installing virtual networks.
