Proceso de atención de enfermería en adolescente con apendicitis aguda.

This work gives rise to the formulation of the clinical case with the topic of Nursing Care Process in adolescents with acute appendicitis. This case was presented at the Liborio Panchana Sotomayor General Hospital in the City of Santa - Elena. For this clinical case, it was possible to carry out a review of an investigation that delves into acute appendicitis, risk factors, nursing care, through the clinical history, general habits and the follow-up that the nurse performs. It also investigates more in the theoretical framework on acute appendicitis where it is reported with more authors. Acute appendicitis is one of the most common causes of pathologies in adolescents and one of the main emergencies for which patients enter an operating room, this is due to appendicular obstruction and fecal thickening due to fecaliths or appendicoliths. The most common causes of appendicitis is the obstruction of the appendix, which causes an infection, which if not treated in time this can rupture and cause peritonitis. Acute appendicitis is characterized by pain at the epigastric or periumbilical level, accompanied by high temperature, vomiting (it can occur rarely), nausea that makes surgical intervention faster.
