Shrnutí:Obstetric Psychoprophylaxis is an educational process for the comprehensive preparation of pregnant women, which allows them to develop healthy habits, and create a positive attitude during pregnancy, childbirth, postpartum, and newborn; and turn this process into a healthy and satisfying experience for the mother, her baby and the family environment. The objective of this work is to determine the relationship between obstetric psychoprophylaxis in labor in primigravida patients, for which a previous analysis of studies related to the topic has been carried out to support this work, therefore, presents documentary criteria. It’s an observational and descriptive study because based on the observation of the behavior of primigravida patients in labor, review and analysis of the clinical history and data that appear in the comprehensive health booklet, the results of the research work are obtained. The results of this study show that Obstetric Psychoprophylaxis favors the development of labor and delivery with lower risk of maternal-neonatal complications, better attitude and collaboration during the process, greater success in the initiation of exclusive breastfeeding and postpartum recovery.
