Zusammenfassung:SUMMARY The technification of agriculture as a condition to achieve rural development in the rice production of Babahoyo canton Rice is one of the main foods for human consumption worldwide. Each year rice producers face the challenge of overcoming several problems that arise in the crop, which has an impact on finding alternatives to increase yields, especially in rural areas which with their small land sow to survive and promote their family in order to have a well-being. With the advancement of technology, one of the main solutions to increase yields and the economy is precision agriculture, which is a new technology that will allow the producer to detect the shortcomings generated in the crop, however it can be detrimental to small producers who refuse to use the advance of technology. In all the rural areas of the Babahoyo canton, it is recommended to use modern technology to increase yields and have sufficient economic stability, enabling them to train medium and small producers so that they can focus on an innovative and updated precision agriculture, since we have examples in other countries that use agricultural technification and can produce at any time of the year and face food challenges.
