Es por ello que en el presente estudio de caso abordaremos esta problemática en un adulto mayor de 67 años en la parroquia La Esmeralda del cantón Montalvo, en donde se investigará referencias bibliográficas de otros autores que han estudiado el abandono familiar, así como también se abordará la salud mental y si hay alguna incidencia en ella a causa del abandono familiar.
