Determinación del rendimiento económico del cultivo de tomate riñón (Solanum lycopersicum L.) bajo invernadero, en el sector de Pilchibuela, cantón Cotacachi, provincia de Imbabura, 2019

SUMMARY The research was carried out at the San Nicolás de Pilchibuela Association, Cotacachi canton, Imbabura province, with the purpose of determining the production costs of tomato kidney under greenhouse, taking into account concepts and technology that the association uses in its production. The obtaining of information and data was obtained from the source, through interviews with te manager of the administrative area of the entity and tomato marketers. In the field visits, information was obtained on the different costs incurred during the production process, resulting in a total amount of $34636,08 USD per ha. The net profit of the production was calculated based on the number of boxes produced which are 5292 with a weight of 95256 kg; the value per boxsold at a value of $11,00 USD, The cost/benefit is 1,68; that is to say, that for every dollar invested, a profit of $0,68 is obtained.
