Tilføj Tag | Summary: | The case presented was developed through the objective of knowing the incidence of psychological violence in the emotional state of an older adult woman in the Baba canton of the province of Los Ríos, starting from the perspective of the concepts of psychological violence, which is expressed in humiliations, insults, deprivation of freedom, intimidation, demands that exceed physical and intellectual capacities, abuse of power, indifference, and more situations that cause discomfort to the person who suffers this type of violence. The instruments used for the collection of important information from the patient and thus achieve an accurate diagnosis, different techniques were applied such as direct observation, clinical interview using the clinical history, battery of tests using the Aaron Beck Inventory and the Karen Machover test with the Drawing of the human figure. By obtaining an accurate diagnosis, it was possible to elaborate a psychotherapeutic scheme as a proposal focused on cognitive behavioral therapy, so that these techniques could be applied with the purpose of modifying the behaviors and thoughts in the patient that generate discomfort and do not allow her to develop in her environment in a normal way. |
