Techniques such as observation, interview and a psychometric test were also used, in addition to having the file or medical history provided by the psychological department of the Technical University of Babahoyo. Within the situations detected, significant data were presented regarding the case and the problem throughout the process, but through the application of strategies and a therapeutic plan based on CBT, positive results were achieved |

Within the situations detected, significant data were presented regarding the case and the problem throughout the process, but through the application of strategies and a therapeutic plan based on CBT, positive results were achievedEl presente trabajo investigativo está enfocado en las técnicas de estimulación cognitiva y en cómo estas influyen en el abordaje temprano en la depresión de un adulto, teniendo como punto de partida la conceptualización de las dos variables y definiéndolas, siendo así las técnicas de estimulación aquellas estrategias que permiten potencializar las habilidades cognitivas en el paciente, permitiendo que modifique sus pensamientos negativos o distorsionados y los intercambie por otros más positivos. También se utilizaron técnicas como la observación, la entrevista y una prueba psicométrica, además de contar con la ficha o historia clínica proporcionada por el departamento psicológico de la Universidad Técnica de Babahoyo.
