Тойм:The demand for the consumption of pig meat worldwide has been an increase since the pig farmers of small, medium, extensive pig farms studied new opportunities for strategies and to be able to identify the exact moment that the hormone should be applied to induce heat Prostaglandin (PG) is a product that is used in the post-weaning stage as an indicator of heat and is also used for the synchronization of the same in sows, and to improve the reproductive life, therefore, this research was carried out on the subject of the analysis of the use of prostaglandin in multiparous sows because the knowledge of this hormone and its correct use, management are scarce in pig production. The main objective of the research was to analyze the use of prostaglandins as heat inducers in sows. A research method was planted with a qualitative approach and exploratory based on information from bibliographies in Google scholar, scientific articles and indexed journals. According to the analysis carried out, it is concluded that the use of prostaglandin will allow to obtain an improvement in the increase in fertility levels in the post-weaning period and number of mounts per animal, and thus the sows will have less time between conception births which will allow them to be more productive and more profitable and obtain better economic benefits.
