This degree work, primarily aims to determine the incidence of use in learning English language and literature in primary and secondary students, and that the use of this educational resource has been forgotten with new implementations methodologies for teaching-learning process in educational institutions. The dictionary is an essential work of lexicographical reference for people interested in learning the language, this is an appropriate way to use them because when used the wrong way can cause serious errors of interpretation of a term and its meaning. However, we must be aware that the student is not the only culprit in this situation, since it is our duty as teachers teach the proper use of English in the teaching of students to this achieves a significant learning giving way to analysis and interpretation of new terms to produce new ideas.
