Резюме:SUMMARRY On the grounds of the farm "San Pablo" belonging to the Faculty of Agricultural Sciences, Technical University of Babahoyo, a trial was conducted in the cultivation of chia (Salvia hispanica L.) in the presence of fertilization levels 40 - 30 - 40 - 0 - 0; 40 - 60 - 40 - 0 - 0, 40-30 - 80 - 0 to 0; 40 - 60 - 80 - 0 to 0; 80-30 - 40 - 0 - 0; 80-60 - 40 - 0 - 0; 80-30 - 80 - 0-0; 80-60 - 80 - 0-0; 80- 60 - 80 - 2 to 0; 80-60 - 80 - 0 to 2; 80-60 - 80 - 2 to 2 kg / ha of NPKBCu. In addition, a control treatment was included devoid of nutrients; giving a total of 12 treatments; in order to: a) Determine appropriate levels of N, P, K, B and Cu to maximize grain yield; b) To analyze economic performance chia based on the cost of production of treatments. Experimental design "complete random blocks" in three replications. The experimental plot consisted of 6 rows spaced 6m length 0.50m, giving an area of 18.0m2. The useful area was determined by the 4 central rows, leaving an area of 12.0m2. The variables were evaluated: plant height at harvest time; stem diameter; days to flowering; inflorescence per plant; length of the inflorescences; weight of the inflorescence; number of plants per m2 at the time of harvest; days to physiological maturity and grain yield. All variables were subjected to analysis of variance and comparisons of treatment means, statistical significance test of Tukey was used at 95% probability. Based on the analysis and statistical interpretation of experimental results, it was concluded: 1. Treatment (T12) 80-60 - 80 - 2 to 2 kg / ha of NPKBCu, achieved the largest number of inflorescences per plant and inflorescence longest, averaging 22.33 and 25.67cm respectively. 2. The highest grain yield was obtained with treatment (T12) 80-60 - 80 - 2 to 2 kg / ha of NPKBCu with 1345.67 kg / ha, exceeding by 46.23% the witness lacking fertilization (T1). 3. An agronomic efficiency (EA) and 19.83 kg of 18 was determined chia per kilogram of Cu and B applied, respectivament. 4. agronomic efficiencies (EA) of 2.29 and 1.05 kilograms of chia were obtained per kilogram of potassium and phosphorus applied. respectivament. 5. All tested treatments reported economic returns, being higher with treatment (T12) 80-60 - 80 - 2 to 2 kg / ha of NPKBCu with $ 3344.01 per hectare. It is recommended: 1. The use of fertilization program 80 - 60 - 80 - 2 - 2 kg / ha of NPKBCu to achieve high yields of chia and economic returns per hectare in the area that will be tested. 2. The chemical fertilization program should include macro and microelements in a balanced way to maximize grain yield.
