الملخص:The cleft lip and palate are a combination of deformity in the union and normal development of 4 different structures: soft tissues and the natural components of the upper lip, the alveolar rim, as well as the hard and soft palates this occurs between the 6th and 10th week of embryoty-fetal life, these palatine lip fissures can be shown unilaterally or bilaterally, complete or incomplete (E, 2017). The fundamental purpose of this case is to apply the nursing care process and perform the assessment to establish through the 11 functional patterns of Marjory Gordon the dysfunctional patterns affected by this poor congenital formation to then develop nursing diagnoses and perform competent interventions that help in the health and well-being of the patient. This case study seeks to provide future Graduates in Nursing with knowledge in the theoretical and practical part in their training to provide timely management of patients with this pathology.
