For the verification of hypothesis and results of the research, the statistical tool (SPSS) statistical package for social sciences was used. |

For the verification of hypothesis and results of the research, the statistical tool (SPSS) statistical package for social sciences was used.En la presente investigación se estudia la relación que existe entre el tabaquismo y la enfermedad pulmonar obstructiva crónica en adultos de 35 a 45 años de la Ciudadela Muñoz Rubio del Cantón Babahoyo Los Ríos durante el primer semestre 2018, por medio de un estudio teórico sobre las variables el tabaquismo y la enfermedad pulmonar obstructiva crónica, además se identifica el nivel de conocimiento sobre el tabaquismo y la enfermedad pulmonar obstructiva crónica y su prevención de la población de estudio y se determina si existe una relación del tabaquismo y la enfermedad pulmonar obstructiva crónica. La metodología utilizada es mediante una investigación bibliográfica documental y de campo ya que para la recolección de información se procede a aplicar un cuestionario por medio de la encuesta con la finalidad de conocer la opinión y nivel de conocimiento sobre el tabaquismo y enfermedad pulmonar obstructiva crónica (EPOC).
