The exact cause of uterine myomatosis is not known, although there are risk factors for the development of uterine fibroids in studies that there is a higher prevalence in black women, people exposed to increased estrogen and progesterone, early menarchia and obesity. On the other hand, there is a lower incidence among women who engage in physical activity, take the menopause and who eat fruits, vegetables and fish. Through this investigation we obtained the clinical characteristics, symptoms, treatment and complications that a myomatous uterus presents, to make a good nursing diagnosis in order to improve the patient's quality of life, I can say that this research work allowed to acquire new knowledge about this pathology and about adequate and necessary nursing care that must be provided; and through the application of the nursing care process, obtain the speedy recovery of the patient based on her treatment.
