Özet:The educational system in Ecuador has evolved gradually in such a way that, at present, English as a foreign language is integrated as a subject within the study plans at the basic, intermediate and higher educational level, regulated by the type of proficiency level that students must have at the end of their school stage. The use of open digital educational resources contributes to the cognitive development of students for active learning in relation to the context in which they operate. Therefore, the purpose of this research is to analyze the technological strategies applied by the teacher to improve the teaching of the English language in students of the basic cycle of the Educational Unit “Dr. Víctor Emilio Estrada” Vinces 2020 - 2021. The results of the research indicate that technological strategies are required that provide collaborative, personalized, flexible and attractive learning for students, contributing to the creation of innovative resources that allow improving the teaching-learning process of the English language. Teachers also play a fundamental role in the development of the teaching process for the acquisition of a language.
