Description
Summary:The Nursing Care Process (PAE) is a set of procedures provided by the nursing staff with the aim of providing comprehensive care to the individual, family and community. It is made up of five stages and each of them is analyzed individually but they will always be related. Acute cholecystitis is inflammation of the gallbladder, which occurs mainly due to gallstones that block the cystic duct. This causes bile to build up, causing irritation and pressure on the gallbladder. Most of the cases are asymptomatic, and only 20% are more likely to develop acute cholecystitis. Having a higher incidence in the female population. Its clinic is characterized by abdominal pain in the right hypochondrium, in addition to nausea and vomiting, dehydration and fever. Diagnosis is based on clinical symptoms, laboratory findings, and imaging studies. This nursing care process is focused on a 43-year-old female patient with acute cholecystitis, who received comprehensive nursing care that was supported by the NANDA, NIC and NOC, with which we obtained favorable results.
