Omschrijving
Samenvatting:The influence of proline and hydroxyproline on the resistance of crops to pest organisms in plants. The importance of these amino acids in the immune response of plants is highlighted to develop sustainable strategies that reduce dependence on chemical pesticides and promote the long-term health of agricultural ecosystems. Mitigating adverse environmental impacts associated with chemical pesticides is crucial to preserving biodiversity and soil quality. It is mentioned that the resistance of plants to pathogens is based on physical and biochemical defenses, where secondary metabolites and phytohormones play relevant roles. The importance of amino acid synthesis for the formation of proteins in plants is highlighted. The results show that proline and hydroxyproline can strengthen plant defenses against pathogens, and the relevance of hydroxyproline-rich proteins in cellular structure is highlighted. The importance of understanding hormonal interactions in plant defense is mentioned in the discussion. Finally, it is concluded that the study of these amino acids can contribute to more sustainable agricultural practices and food security. Further research is recommended to improve the resistance of crops to pests and pathogens.
