Sumari:The present study was born from the latent problem that girls and adolescents go through in relation to the little or no knowledge that mothers and girls have about the Human Papillomavirus. For this reason, the investigative process aims to analyze how the level of knowledge about the prevention of the Human Papillomavirus (HPV) affects girls from 9 to 14 years old in the América Campuzano sector, Ventanas canton, during the period from June to September 2024. Being a research with a mixed, qualitative-quantitative approach, we will work with a sample of 50 girls, using a survey form to collect and analyze numerical data and the focus group technique will be applied to both girls and adolescents and mothers, identifying patterns and correlations. The results indicate that, in effect, there is a high percentage of girls, adolescents and mothers who do not know what the Human Papillomavirus consists of and the preventive mechanisms such as the vaccine. Meanwhile, the implementation of scientific information systems, educational talks on HPV, workshops for parents, and follow-up to the vaccination schedule would be strategies to address the low level of knowledge of HPV, highlighting the importance of prevention to reduce susceptibility to infection and promote a healthy lifestyle. The conclusions reveal that knowledge about HPV prevention is low, so it is recommended that families promote human values and decision-making skills, while health systems should offer comprehensive care and encourage open communication so that girls feel safe when reporting difficult situations.
