總結: | The clinical case studies a 23-year-old female patient who has been diagnosed with accommodative insufficiency and convergence insufficiency. These alterations represent the main cause of discomfort in the development of activities in near vision, which leads to the deficiency of the visual system to develop optimally, contributing to poor performance in the school, work and social environment. The objective of the research is to determine the causes of accommodative insufficiency and convergence insufficiency in our 23-year-old patient, which affect her quality of life and personal development. The present study focuses on improving the patient's visual performance and quality, making an accurate diagnosis and providing the appropriate treatment to help eliminate or reduce the present discomfort. The methodology applied is based on the exploration of the patient's clinical history and background. The optometric examinations performed are: Far and near visual acuity, Objective Refraction: Autorefractometer, Subjective Refraction: Dynamic Retinoscopy, Accommodative amplitude, Cover test and fundus. In addition to other complementary tests that allow a definitive diagnosis, as well as proceeding with the prescription of treatment according to the symptoms described by the patient. The conclusion of the analysis shows that the patient works for prolonged periods in front of a computer; Furthermore, it is known that the patient suffers from photophobia. Therefore, the use of photo blue block or transition blue ophthalmic lenses is recommended. In addition, the development of visual therapies is prescribed that allow you to develop and enhance your vision in order to eliminate or reduce the present symptoms. |
