الملخص:It is estimated that the global population will increase in 2020 to 9 billion, in which young people between 15 and 24 years old, will represent 14% of this total. The vast majority of young people globally are expected to have high growth, as employment and entrepreneurship opportunities improve for those young people living in economically stagnant rural areas. Young farmers have the initiative and capacity to innovate and undertake. In which they frequently use information and communication technologies such as: mobile phones and social multimedia tools in order to share information. Young people engaged in agricultural activities contribute significantly to family labor and household food security. For young people to see agriculture as a career option, they must be supported in the development of adequate financial and business techniques, access to land and credit to allow them to have control over the financial returns resulting from their activities. Young people must be in their optimal physical and mental development stage, to innovate in agricultural development, because there are factors that impede their development in all aspects. The information obtained was made through the technique of analysis, synthesis and summary, in order for the reader to learn about the importance of rural youth and their contribution to the development of agricultural activity. For the above detailed it was determined that young farmers have the initiative and the necessary capacity to innovate and undertake in the agricultural sector. In some developing countries, policies and programs do not consider young farmers. This is partly due to the weakness of farmers' associations that often fail to represent their interests. Young farmers are the entrepreneurs of tomorrow and have the potential to overcome the challenges of food security.
