要約: | The COVID19 pandemic threatens public health around the world. The disease is the result of severe acute respiratory syndrome coronavirus 2 (SARSCoV2) infection, first reported in December 2019 in Wuhan, China. In March 2020, the disease was present in more than 110 countries and the World Health Organization (WHO) declared it a pandemic; months later. The research established in the intervention of the respiratory therapist in a 78-year-old male patient diagnosed with community-acquired pneumonia due to COVID-19. Patient who reported having the following signs and symptoms such as fever, loss of taste and smell, diarrhea, dyspnea, chest pain, loss of appetite, chills. Therefore, an adequate pharmacological treatment was administered to improve his health condition and thus avoid complications. The respiratory therapist in patients with this pathology is of the utmost importance since, through his timely intervention through the different respiratory therapy techniques applied to the patient, he will help to complement the pharmacological treatment and thus help in the recovery of the patient and avoid complications in his health condition. |
