Samenvatting:This work shows the impact that the YouTube platform has had in helping to spread the soccer content of communicators in Ecuador. Interviews have been conducted for them and data has been collected, using as a source a specialized page that tracks statistics and analysis of social networks. In its first part, some fundamental principles of what YouTube is, digital journalism and the impact it has caused globally, in addition to the sports journalism that is currently carried out on the platform, are exposed. In this project, an observation has been made of the statistics of three YouTube channels run by sports communicators in the Ecuadorian soccer field, to find out their visibility and viability, and assess whether they have become an alternative to traditional media. In addition, it should be noted that thanks to the environment offered by the YouTube platform, creators have had an exchange, collaboration and continuous feedback with their virtual community. To achieve the objective, a descriptive methodology was used in addition to conducting interviews with those involved in the study, said content creators, based on the conditions of use granted by the Google platform, allows us to demonstrate and evaluate the YouTube platform as a excellent alternative to show football content.
