The city of Babahoyo has the best commercial link in the province due to its high-scale agriculture and its high-quality crops. The objective of this case study is to identify the factors that impede the tourism development in the city of Babahoyo, Los Ríos province, to recommend growth strategies that benefit tourism and the community in general. The applied methodology was descriptive, bibliographic documentary and exploratory with a mixed approach, for that reason the techniques used were indirect observation, surveys and an interview with Ing. Miguel Galarza institutional strengthening analyst. The following instruments were applied: the observation file, the formulation of the surveys through an online questionnaire, the preparation of a series of questions for the interview. As a result of the investigation, it was concluded that one of the factors that impede the tourist development of the city of Babahoyo is the absence of attractions and there is a need for professionals in the area to undertake tourism-related businesses. |
