Resumo:The present case study is to determine the influence of the self-concept in coping with the status of a person deprived of liberty of the Babahoyo in the Deprivation of Liberty Center. Self-concept as such is the self-perception that each person has of himself, that is, it is the construction of an ideal Self that the human being realizes, based on values and principles that respond to the need for realization as a person. Therefore, the ppl's self-concept plays a fundamental role in dealing with adverse situations that arise in the day-to-day journey. For the collection of patient data, techniques such as semi-structured interviews were used and as a tool the clinical history, observation and application of psychometric tests, specifically to evaluate HTP and as a complement a Self-concept questionnaire, which allowed for an adequate psychological assessment and thus determine the influence between both variables.
