Adicionar Tag | Resumo: | This research focused on studying data journalism is characterized by its rigorous focus on the collection, analysis and presentation of information through data and statistics, being fundamental in the digital era to enrich the informative narrative. Current technology has allowed data journalism to develop strongly in the journalistic environment. A qualitative, descriptive study, with an exploratory design, was developed with the objective of knowing the current state of data journalism, its impact on digital media and determining how the practice has been carried out in the province of Los Ríos. The findings of the research reflected that social communicators who work in digital media must be trained to face the challenges of PD, know technological tools and techniques for data extraction, visualization and volume of content. It is necessary to implement data journalism as a subject in the curriculum of the Social Communication degree. It can be concluded that data journalism in Ecuador is still developing; The results observed in the province of Los Ríos show that there are few journalists who have a professional profile suitable for working with data journalism. |
