| Gaia: | Cinema allows a symbolic representation of the world, recreates skills and makes visible the ways of life in social, cultural and specific contexts of each individual or place. The objective is to analyze the role of the Ecuadorian documentary film and its construction in the indigenous cultural identity, to identify the elements within the narrative of the film, to recognize through a conceptualization how these protagonists are represented in the Ecuadorian documentary film Killa, first in Quichua language. This research has a qualitative approach, a research model that studies social practices. Its method is descriptive based on the description through observation, by means of significant research for the elaboration of this project, and as research techniques the observation sheet and in-depth interview. In conclusion, the cinema in Ecuador is reduced by the number of people and collectives that participate in the realization and diffusion of audiovisual productions with indigenous representation and features. |
