| Тойм: | Acute bronchitis today is one of the main reasons for consultation in different hospitals and health centers in the country, the incidence of respiratory infections is between 35 and 55% in children. It is estimated that each child suffers from 5 to 7 times in the year acute bronchitis. In the year 2019 in Ecuador it was the first cause of morbidity in children with acute respiratory diseases, occupying a rate of 15%. Reason for which this case study was carried out in the intervention of the respiratory therapist in a 7-year-old female patient diagnosed with acute bronchitis. The objective of this research is to apply the appropriate respiratory therapy techniques in a 7-year-old female patient diagnosed with acute bronchitis. Pharmacological treatment in patients with acute bronchitis is based on the administration of antibiotics, anti-inflammatories, which is complemented by respiratory therapy techniques such as nebulization and oxygen administration. That are carried out in order to improve the health status of these patients. As the next professional in respiratory therapy, I have come to the conclusion through this case study that acute bronchitis is one of the main pathologies that I will encounter in my professional performance as a respiratory therapist. Through this clinical case we can demonstrate as a result the important work performed by the respiratory therapist in the management of patients with acute bronchitis, since through the techniques used in the patient it was possible to improve the clinical picture that the patient presented. |
