| Summary: | Currently, drug addiction in young people and adolescents represents a worrying problem for public health. The consumption of psychoactive substances in early stages of development is related to school dropout, antisocial behaviors, depression problems, anxiety, even death. Therefore, the development of the present investigation has as a general objective to determine the influence of drug addiction on the behavior of a 17-year-old adolescent from the Vinces canton. In the investigative process, a descriptive-correlational analysis was applied; since, a theoretical contribution is generated that investigates different bibliographic sources related to drug addiction and its influence on the behavior of the human being. In order to determine a comprehensive diagnosis of the 17-year-old patient, techniques and tools such as clinical history, semi-structured interview, direct observation and the ASSIST V3.0 psychometric test were applied; where a score of 32 was obtained, which determines a high level of dependence on the consumption of psychoactive substances. Therefore, the analysis of the problem raised determined the psychodiagnosis of Mental and behavioral disorder due to the use of opioids (heroin), which according to the ICD 10 corresponds to the F11 coding. The results obtained from the investigation showed that the onset of the patient's drug addiction problems occurred from the age of 13, a stage in which the adolescent was vulnerable due to the death of his mother. As a conclusion, it is stated that there is an influence on the patient's behavior due to his drug dependence condition. |
