| Resumo: | Hypertensive disorders are one of the main causes of maternal and prenatal morbidity and mortality. For this reason, nursing staff play a fundamental role in the process of improving the health and well-being of pregnant women to ensure a safe delivery and postpartum. Objective: To analyze nursing interventions and their relationship with the prevention of hypertensive obstetric complications in patients who attend the IESS Babahoyo General Hospital. October 2024 - May 2025. Methodology: The deductive method was applied, with a quantitative modality. The type of research according to the level of study is descriptive, depending on the place the study is field. As far as its temporal dimension is concerned, it is transversal. Techniques: Indirect observation. Instrument: Observation matrix. Population and sample: 100 pregnant women with gestational hypertension. Results: The nursing interventions had a percentage of general compliance with the records of the interventions for the prevention of hypertensive disorders, it was the administration of medications 98%, medication management 95%, monitoring of vital signs 94% and fluid management 92%. Regarding the complications present in pregnant women, it observed that the threat of premature birth, placental abruption, and acute pulmonary edema (APE) were the most frequent. While HELLP syndrome, multiple organ failure, eclampsia and fetal growth restriction are less common. Conclusion: Nursing interventions play a fundamental role in the prevention of obstetric complications by improving maternal-neonatal clinical conditions. |
