After a community assembly where the parameters and co-responsibility of the neighborhood community are indicated through real-time monitoring in the installation of these devices, the cameras and siren buttons are installed by the technical staff of the Autonomous Decentralized Municipal Government of Babahoyo.The video surveillance cameras have infrared, movement alerts, a 270-degree pan around, coupled to a sound alert system (siren button), this entire system will be connected to the nearest UPC in order to have a immediate response time to the occasioned emergency. The Municipal authority seeks with this strategy to reduce the perception of insecurity and the crimes with the highest incidence in the sectors with the highest criminal risk. To contribute to the strengthening of security in the canton of Babahoyo and reverse the growing trend of the criminal boom; situation that is possible to achieve in coordination between citizens, National Police and Municipal Government. |

To contribute to the strengthening of security in the canton of Babahoyo and reverse the growing trend of the criminal boom; situation that is possible to achieve in coordination between citizens, National Police and Municipal Government.El proyecto de instalación e implementación de un sistema de video y vigilancia "barrio seguro", como estrategia para reducir los índices delincuenciales, desarrollado por parte del Gobierno Autónomo Descentralizado Municipal de Babahoyo, surge como una táctica para mitigar el alto índice delincuencial que se presenta en la ciudad, el que consiste en la instalación de cámaras de video vigilancia y botones de sirenas, asociados a una aplicación instalada en los celulares de los miembros de un barrio, estos dispositivos son instalados en distintas zonas de la ciudad tanto urbanas como rurales, donde a través de un estudio por parte del Departamento de Seguridad Ciudadana en coordinación con la Policía Nacional determinan las zonas estratégicas para su implementación. Después de una asamblea comunitaria donde son indicados los parámetros y la corresponsabilidad de la comunidad barrial a través del monitoreo en tiempo real en la instalación de estos dispositivos, las cámaras y los botones de sirenas son instaladas por el personal técnico del Gobierno Autónomo Descentralizado Municipal de Babahoyo. Las cámaras de video vigilancia constan con infrarrojo, alertas de movimientos, un paneo de 270 grados a la redonda, acoplados a un sistema de alerta sonora (botón de sirena), todo este sistema estará conectado al UPC más cercano con la finalidad de tener un tiempo de respuesta inmediato a la emergencia ocasionada. La autoridad Municipal busca con esta estrategia reducir la percepción de inseguridad y los delitos con mayor incidencia en los sectores con más riesgo delictivo.
