| Summary: | This research work tries to provide guidelines for startups in Ecuador to address key success factors for digital innovation and details how to apply them in the local context. The pandemic was the setting for many startups to test their ability to adapt to this environment, with social networks becoming the main means of advertising for entrepreneurs. During confinement, the closure of companies and distributors was devastating, bringing with it new strategies for entrepreneurs who were mainly dedicated to the distribution of groceries and prepared foods, strengthening the use of digital media as communication channels with their customers. Analyzing the impact of social networks on entrepreneurship in the city of Babahoyo has the objective of providing a deep understanding of how these platforms offer new opportunities for the growth and economic development of the city. Through a literature review, interviews, surveys and data analysis, we will seek to identify effective strategies in the use of social networks and provide recommendations to ventures seeking to make the most of the potential of these tools. |
