Add Tag | Summary: | In this case study we approached a patient with addiction problems, where we could appreciate part of his life history and his background, which gave us signs of the reason why he decided to consume. To approach him, we made use of the clinical history, in addition to the Beck Depression Test and the Beck Anxiety Test. The results of these tests were of great interest. In the course of the sessions, several cognitive distortions on the part of the patient came to light, which were treated from a cognitive behavioral approach, using cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT). Several of the techniques proposed by the aforementioned therapy were used in order to provide an optimal treatment of the cognitive distortions present in the patient. |
