| Gaia: | VIII. SUMMARY This research was conducted at the Experimental Farm "San Pablo" belonging to the Faculty of Agricultural Sciences at the Technical University of Babahoyo, located at Km 7 ½ of the way Babahoyo - Montalvo. The land is located at the geographic coordinates of Latitude 790 32 'South Latitude and 10 49' West, with a height of 8 meters, has a humid tropical climate with average annual temperature of 25.5 0C, an average annual rainfall of 2329.00 mm, relative humidity of 82% and 987.1 hours of heliophany annual average. The floor is flat topography, clay loam and regulate drainage. Planting material for Tanzania grass seed it obtained from the commercial house Fertisa. The proposed objective was to evaluate the effects of applying nitrogen fertilizer on the quality and performance of grass seed Tanzania (Panicum maximum C.V.) in the area of Babahoyo-Los Rios Province. The treatments were composed of different doses of nitrogen of 50, 100, 150 and 200 kg / ha, split into three parts 20, 40 and 60 days after germination and a conventional control based complete fertilizer in doses of 300 kg / ha, using experimental design randomized complete blocks with five treatments and three repetitions. The comparison of averages was carried out by Tukey test at 95% probability. For normal crop development tasks soil analysis, soil preparation, planting, watering, weeding, fertilizing, pest and disease control and harvesting were made. The data evaluated during the trial were number of tillers at 65 days, days to flowering, panicle length, plant height at harvest, green and dry weight per hectare and economic analysis subject. By the results it was determined that nitrogen fertilization caused positive effects on the quality and performance of grass Tanzania in the area of Babahoyo, most panicle length and tillers / m2 was obtained with nitrogen applications in various doses, conventional witness full fertilizer dose of 300 kg / ha took to bloom 99 days, most plant height was presented by applying 200 kg / ha of nitrogen, conventional witness full payment of 300 kg / ha reached highest average green matter, while that applying 150 kg / ha of nitrogen achieved greater weight of dry matter and the highest net profit reported by applying 100 kg / ha of nitrogen with $ 202.55 |
