Credit unions represent a fundamental element in the growth of a country, since they fulfill a social objective, which is the channeling of resources of the savers partners in the conception of credits to entrepreneurs. The present case study has been called: Accounts receivable and their incidence in the Cooperativa de Ahorro y Crédito "Educadores 25 de Abril", the aforementioned Cooperative exercises its activities in the canton Montalvo, province of Los Ríos, whose activity is the financial intermediation in the reception of resources for the granting of credits to their partners While it is true, financial institutions that do not achieve a permanence in the market economic, is mainly due to problems with the recovery of its portfolio of credits The loan portfolio for the Cooperativa "Educadores 25 de Abril", represents its largest tool of work, the recovery of credit is of vital importance to comply with normality its social objective, which is the granting of credits, and thus remain in the market, non-compliance on the part of the partners has represented disadvantages for the cooperative, that's why this work aims to: analyze the portfolio of credits to know how they affect the liquidity of the Savings and Credit Cooperative "Educators 25 de Abril". This work is part of the research line of the so-called career, management of the financial information, since it deals with a topic on the management of the finances of the Cooperativa de Ahorro y Crédito "Educadores 25 de Abril
