Seguridad del viajero y su impacto en el turismo vivencial del cantón Simón Bolívar, Provincia del Guayas

The present case study was carried out in the Simón Bolívar canton on traveler safety and experiential tourism, because it is a tourist place with exotic cuisine, traditions, legends and freshwater spas. For this reason, the objective of the study is to evaluate tourism safety and its impact on experiential tourism. The methodology used in the investigative process was a quantitative approach, types of descriptive research by virtue of which the variables analyzed and documentary are characterized, because an analysis of the theories related to the subject of study was carried out. In addition, an inductive method and a survey technique were used, accompanied by a questionnaire of questions, which was applied to a sample of 100 people. The main results were: the experience of the visitors during the holiday was satisfactory because they were able to enjoy the activities despite the insecurity of the destination, the tourist products and services offered by the canton are not innovative and the people who visit the canton are motivated by different reasons such as field trips, visiting spas and gastronomy. It is concluded that, in the Simón Bolívar canton, there were no controls in strategic places in the area that provide security to the traveler, the town has several characteristic tourist products and places that generate an acceptable contribution to achieve tourism and local development in the long term and the canton authorities do not predestine actions to promote its tourist attractions.
