La lateralidad y su influencia en la lecto-escritura en el proceso de enseñanza y aprendizaje de los estudiantes de tercer año de educación básica de la Escuela Jorge Icaza Delgado del Cantón Babahoyo, 2023

The laterality that human beings develop, can also be considered as one of the main survival functions, which from its beginnings tends to predominate the strength, whether right-handed, left-handed or cross left-handed, with which they manage to perform any activity of any kind, which in turn generates integration in a particular group of society. When laterality is not defined from an early age, the effects are shown in the first levels of schooling, even later, causing low performance in learning and directly in reading and writing. It should be noted that the research conducted aims to identify whether laterality influences the teaching and learning processes of reading and writing of third grade students of the Jorge Icaza Delgado School located in the city of Babahoyo, province of Los Ríos. The respective collection of information and total approach to the case has the necessary academic resources for primary school teachers organized among methods, techniques that arise from a mixed methodology (qualitative-quantitative) as: observation, explanatory, descriptive, the application of survey and the Harris test- (laterality observation) resources that helped to answer the objective that was raised. The research that was carried out gives teachers the initiative to create new academic plans for these groups that need a different approach.
