| Summary: | Sesame (Sesamun indicum L.), is an oilseed that has both economic and industrial importance for its seeds that provide oils. In 2017, 21 Ha were sown in Ecuador, with a production of 16 Ton, with Manabí (Pedro Carbo, Jipijapa, May 24 and Pajan) being the main coastal producing province. The objective of this experimental work is to evaluate the effect of the application of Metarhizium and Micorrizas in the development and production of sesame crops in the Babahoyo area. The test was carried out at the FACIAG of the Technical University of Babahoyo which is located at kilometer 7.5 of the Babahoyo – Montalvo road, Babahoyo Canton, Los Ríos Province. 6 treatments were evaluated, plus an absolute witness, with 3 repetitions. The sowing was carried out in plots that had an area of 12 m², an experimental design of “Completely Random Blocks” was used, for the evaluation of means the Tukey test was used at 95% probability. The evaluations of plant height, stem diameter, number of leaves per plant, leaf length and width were performed at 60 and 90 days, and the variables number of capsules per plant, weight of 1000 grains , yield per Ha and economic analysis were evaluated at 120 days of age of the crop. Subsequently, soil analyzes were performed to evaluate the percentage of colonization and spore count. The recorded results showed that the inoculation of Metarhizium in doses of 200 g / Ha benefited the plants obtaining at the 90 days the greatest growth and number of leaves, as well as the greater number of capsules at 120 days. In the same way the treatment that presented the highest economic income was in which Metarhizium was applied in doses of 200 g / Ha with $ 1856,69 / Ha of net utility |
