The research was conducted by using the survey method, the surveys were applied directly to the farmers of the parish. Once surveying had finished, the data tabulation process was carried out obtaining the following results the diseases with the biggest incidence are the anthracnose togeder to the botrytis regarding insects we have the western flower trips and the leafminer have big incident. Finally, when it comes to weeds, the kikuyo grass the most incidental accompanied the slim amaranth. In addition, the surveys revealed that the farmers in the zone chose the chemical method by using pesticides to control disease caused by insects. Concerning weeds it was determined the farmers the treasury control by appealing to weeding machines, pickaxes or machetes. Additional important information was retrieved from the study, which showed that no farmer in the parish conducts an analysis of production costs, and the specie of passionfruit used for farming is the Castilla Colombiana. Therefore, it was determined that the crops of the zone have a high index of presence of plagues that they will be affected and have a decreased production. |

Therefore, it was determined that the crops of the zone have a high index of presence of plagues that they will be affected and have a decreased production.RESUMEN El desconocimiento de las plagas que ataca al cultivo de la granadilla, ha generado grandes pérdidas económicas a los productores de la parroquia Cahuasquí, cantón Urcuquí, este estudio se lo realizo con el propósito de identificar las principales plagas que atacan, dañan y bajan la producción en el cultivo de granadilla en la zona. La investigación se la hizo por el método de las encuestas las mismas que fueron realizadas directamente a los agricultores de la parroquia, una vez ya finalizada las entrevistas se continuo con el proceso de tabulación de datos obteniendo los siguientes resultados: Se pudo concluir que la enfermedad de mayor incidencia en el cultivo es la antracnosis junto a la botrytis y en cuanto a insectos el trips y el enrollador son los que tienen mayor incidencia, y finalmente en lo referente a malezas se identificó que el kikuyo es la más afecta al cultivo acompañado del bledo. Adicional la encuesta nos dio a conocer que todos los agricultores de la zona utilizan el método químico para controlar las enfermedades he insectos usando plaguicidas, y en lo referente a malezas se pudo determinar que la mayoría de productores usa el control físico, utilizando desmalezadoras, lampas o machete.
