| Summary: | Parenting or parenting styles can significantly influence children, contribute greatly to children's behavior, and in turn, generate behavioral problems, problems in different areas such as academic, social, emotional, and also the personality of the child. child. The present descriptive research is developed about parenting styles and their influence on the behavior of 5th grade students of basic general education of the educational unit “Replica Eugenio Espejo” of the Babahoyo canton, province of Los Ríos. The objective of this research is to establish the influence of parenting styles on the behavior of the students in question. To carry out the research, the two variables in question were contextualized through bibliographical references. In the same way, data collection was carried out by applying a psychometric test, a prevalence test on parenting styles in parents, and a structured interview. In a group manner, valuable and necessary information was obtained to verify the proposed hypothesis. The results obtained demonstrate a significant influence of parenting styles on children's behavior, giving results in the prevalence test on parenting styles in parents, with the scores being the democratic parenting style with 32%, authoritarian parenting with 54%, permissive parenting styles with 11%, parenting styles with 4%. And a qualitative result that reflects the presence of both acceptable and some incorrect behaviors, where parents demonstrate that their children present behavior in accordance with the parenting styles they practice on infants. |
