Description
Summary:The mango crop is very tolerant to various fertility conditions; However, a good fertilization program with essential macronutrients is essential for the vegetative growth of the plantation, to obtain good yields and quality fruits. This work was developed as a non-experimental bibliographic research, through the use of synthesis, analysis and summary of the information that was collected. From what was previously detailed, it is determined that nitrogen is the most important nutrient, it plays a broad role in the growth of organs and in many processes; Phosphorus is important in the composition of cells, proteins, enzymes and other substances, they participate in respiration; Potassium facilitates many physiological processes, accumulates in cell sap, is consumed in considerable quantities, especially from flowering to fruit ripening. Calcium plays a role in the hardness and growth of tissues, including the pulp of fruits. Magnesium is an essential component of chlorophyll, and for this reason it is important in photosynthesis, it also functions in the activity of carbohydrate metabolism. The growth, development and yield of the mango crop depends on adequate nutrition, which is achieved when the plant has balanced amounts of nutrients from the soil solution; taking into account that this crop can achieve macronutrient extraction (Kg/ha) per ton of mango fruits: 1446 kg N, 182 kg P, 2269 kg K, 249 kg Ca, 191 kg Mg and 131 kg S.
