| Resumo: | Rice is the basic cereal for the food of more than half of the Ecuadorian population and worldwide, it is also one of the most important and extensive crops in cultivated area in Ecuador. Nutritionally, it is the cereal that provides more calories per hectare worldwide, in addition to the beneficial food and nutritional aspects, it is a generator of employment for most of the rural population of Ecuador. The production of rice in Ecuador is presented in rainfed or winter rice cultivation and the production of irrigation that occurs in the summer season, the latter being considered as the one with the greatest productive importance and that like other crops it presents phytosanitary problems of pests among them the nematodes. That is why this research has focused on the search, grouping and analysis of information and thus make known which are the nematodes that affect rice in irrigated condition, as well as deducing what is the right time for its control, also are exposed control methods Cultural, biological and chemical that could be carried out by small, medium and large producers. Concluding the recommendations, it is proposed to train the producers so that they acquire the technical knowledge to detect and control these pathogens, as well as carrying out constant monitoring of the crop to detect in a timely manner the symptoms in the plants produced by the nematodes and thus apply the appropriate techniques of both cultural and biological control, and in this way achieve sustainable agriculture that lasts over time. |
