Tilføj Tag | Summary: | The purpose of this study was to determine the prevalence of community-acquired pneumonia in children under 6 years of age who attend Martin Icaza Hospital. The methodology used was quantitative, analytical, descriptive, observational, field and bibliographic. For data collection, the technique of direct observation and clinical history of 125 children with pneumonia was applied, which allowed to determine the prevalence of 58% children who presented pneumonia, with sociodemographic characteristics age 1 years are more susceptible to contracting pneumonia, being the male sex the predominant, 53% are exposed to indoor pollution, 19% of children attend nurseries, socioeconomic status is low, 70% belong to rural areas, frequently have discomfort when breathing, parents 59% do not frequently take their child for medical examination, 39% are exposed to dust and chemicals, 31% from hereditary respiratory infections, 23% from tobacco smoke, 12% from air pollution, while 10%, He replied that because of wood smoke. So, he executed talks, which consisted of practical training and delivery of informative material. |
