Yhteenveto:In medicine, cholelithiasis, commonly referred to as gallstones or gallstones, refers to the formation of stones in the bile ducts, especially in the gallbladder. They are accretions of solid materials that can be as small as grains of grit or, sometimes, so large that they occupy the whole vesicle. Most of the calculations are usually of intermediate size, that is, 20 mm or less. These crystals - about 80% - are made up of cholesterol crystals; the rest are black pigmented crystals. Biliary lithiasis is associated with the appearance of gallbladder carcinoma, and its prevention may justify a cholecystectomy or removal of an early gallbladder in the patient suffering from this disease.
