Summary:Currently there is a clear identification in the increase in ametropia affecting students, thus affecting their academic performance, the same as factors such as blindness, blurred vision and headaches as main characteristics, makes certain students do not feel motivated to learn, because this symptomatology also affects the motor viewer development, all these expressed causes are given by a lack of visual care and by the lack of a culture of hygiene of the same, as well as the inexistence of adequate control based on periodic examinations of visual acuity and refraction, that is why to determine the consistency of the proposed study will be analyzed students of the Educational Unit Pinto Olvera Aristides, in order to determine the incidence of ametropia in academic performance.
