Afegir etiqueta | Sumari: | SUMMARY In Ecuador, the main short-cycle products are rice, corn, soybeans and vegetables, where most producers seek different alternatives to increase yields, but with low production costs. The purpose of this document was to collect information on nitrogen, as a basis for agricultural production in short-cycle crops such as rice, corn and soybeans, where the importance of this macroelement for the development and productivity of crops was highlighted, obtaining bibliography information from books, memoirs of congresses, catalogs, manuals, magazines, indexed articles, newspapers and web pages. The information obtained was analyzed and summarized by means of synthesis technique, with the purpose that the reader understands everything related to nitrogen, as a basis of agricultural production in short cycle crops. The conclusions determined that agricultural production is essential to generate foreign exchange in countries that are dedicated to the production of short-cycle crops; Nitrogen is one of the main macroelements that must be applied as fertilizer for the development of crops, which helps the increase of chlorophyll and the different doses of nitrogen generate increase in yield.
