總結: | Urinary tract infections as an obstetric risk factor are associated with high rates of maternal-fetal complications, especially among women with limited resources since the economic factors of developing countries influence the increase in public health problems. The present research work is descriptive, quantitative, and its general objective is to identify the main maternal - fetal complications in pregnant women aged 18 - 25 years with urinary tract infections, treated at the General Hospital Ecuadorian Institute of Social Security (IESS). Babahoyo, period November 2022 - April 2023. When analyzing the statistical data obtained during the development of this work, it was shown that the percentage of maternal-fetal complications related to urinary tract infections in pregnant women is 36.7%, incidence which maintains the same results in other South American countries. At the international level, the theoretical recommendations thus proposed aim to strengthen prevention and health promotion programs for women during pregnancy, initiated by the Ministry of Public Health of our country to raise awareness among pregnant women to prevent infections of urinary tract, improve lifestyles, thus reducing maternal and fetal morbidity and mortality and complications related to this pathology. |
